Nestled by the beautiful Mississippi River, the Little Switzerland Inn, is family owned (2nd generation) and operated, and has been serving guests with warmth and hospitality for over 21 years. Built in 1860 for the North Iowa Times Newspaper, our historic inn, complemented by a rustic log cabin, offers a unique and cozy retreat in downtown McGregor, Iowa. Whether you're seeking a family getaway, a romantic escape, or simply a peaceful stay, our doors are always open to you. We offer 4 distinctly different lodging options. From a Victorian, 3 bedroom apartment, to a rustic, one of a kind Cabin in a downtown setting, all just a few steps away from the Mississippi River. Sadie's Sweet Shop, located in the storefront of our building, where you can stop in for an ice cream, milkshake, Nitro Coffee on tap, freshly baked goods, chocolates, salt water taffy, and Zebulon Coffee Roasters, our in-house coffee roastery.
